There looks to be about a 30-40% chance of snow Tuesday morning. It will eventually change to rain sometime mid-morning or afternoon. Right now, I'm thinking totals will range from 1-3 inches of snow, Charlotte probably being on the lower end of that right now. Totals look to be closer to 3 inches in western South Carolina. The mountains will probably get a good 3-6 inches of snow, the highest elevations getting especially hit hard. Somewhere will probably end up seeing 8 inches of snow, way on the mountain tops.
The forecast for 1-3 inches of snow for Charlotte could change. The amount of snowfall could turn out to be lower, or maybe even higher, so stay tuned!
